Election

Today in Canada there was a federal election resulting in a Conservative majority with the NDP as the official opposition; this is a big deal because the NDP has never been the federal ruling party or opposition party. The Conservatives were able to get their majority with only 40% of the popular vote, so essentially 60% of the voting population's representatives are moot. The next 4 years should be very interesting and depressing, indeed. On a cheerier note, I recently found this dress in a local online community for $20 (including shipping) - a pretty good score, considering how well it fits. My favourite detail on the dress is the buttons - black with a subtle etched anchor.

  4. Love all of the different colored stripes and the fairly monochromatic color scheme. It's so scary buying online--especially dresses. So it's amazing when they fit right :)
